Hi and thanks for visiting my website! I am an Associate Professor of Economics (effective January 2026) and the Deputy Director of the Development Policy Centre at the Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU. My research lies at the intersection of labour economics, development economics and international trade.

Before returning to the ANU in 2019, I held academic appointments at Dartmouth College and Stanford University, and I worked in the Australian Government—mostly on budgets, school funding and impact evaluation policy—development, banking and other odd jobs before that.
